Model & sources. Distances are calculated from the countries' capital coordinates (great circle) – an approximation, not a real route length. The CO₂ factors are model values in the order of magnitude of common well-to-wheel figures (framework GLEC / EN 16258 / ISO 14083), not a measured value for a specific transport: sea ≈ 15, rail ≈ 25, inland waterway ≈ 35, road ≈ 80, air ≈ 600 g CO₂e per tonne-kilometre. The internal CO₂ price (€90/t) serves only the game scoring. For robust, auditable values there is the CO₂e calculator and the Methodology.
